The agreements reached with Broadridge Financial Solutions, Computershare, Equiniti, and Superstate complement previous deals signed with Securitize in March and tZERO in August. According to official statements from the exchange operator, Broadridge, Computershare, and Equiniti collectively manage the shareholder records of nearly 5,000 public companies. This coverage represents almost 99% of the companies that make up the S&P 500 index within U.S. markets.
The technical framework connects traditional shareholder registry services with technological developments provided by native digital asset firms such as Securitize, Superstate, and tZERO . According to the makert report, Broadridge will provide governance services via distributed ledgers and digital transfer agency services to support operations. This technical integration will encompass proxy voting, corporate communications, and digital identity validation processes.
Lynn Martin, president of NYSE Group , stated that this progress continues the institutional trajectory aimed at redesigning financial market infrastructure. The executive noted that the exchange operator’s efforts remain focused on preserving market integrity as they deploy the architecture for tokenized securities.
Settlement Architecture and Corporate Governance
Broadridge currently processes over $360 billion daily in tokenized assets through its repo platform based on distributed ledger technology. The integration of these mechanisms will enable holders to exercise their voting rights directly from compatible digital wallets and interfaces provided by brokerage firms.
The technical plan announced by the exchange contemplates using the traditional Pillar matching engine. This engine will operate in connection with blockchain networks to manage clearing and custody across multiple decentralized ledgers. The reported design envisions an order model denominated in U.S. dollars, direct funding via stablecoins, and 24/7 trading .
Documentary data from the proposal indicates that the platform will support both directly issuer-backed tokenized securities and tokens held under third-party custody. Both formats are designed under a fungibility framework relative to traditional shares. This equivalence includes preserving dividend collection rights and formal participation in shareholder meetings.
The technical implementation timeline depends on administrative clearances. The rollout of the New York Stock Exchange trading venue remains subject to favorable approval from U.S. regulators, with no set deadline established for its public launch.
