Bitget has raised the maximum leverage to 1:2000 for 21 forex CFD pairs, including EURUSD, USDJPY, GBPUSD, and AUDUSD.
Effective November 1, 2026, the update allows traders to open positions with lower margin requirements, alongside a tiered margin structure that adjusts based on position size.
The update covers major currency pairs and crosses involving the euro, British pound, US dollar, Japanese yen, Australian dollar, Canadian dollar and Swiss franc.
The higher leverage limit gives traders greater flexibility to manage their capital and respond to currency movements driven by interest rate decisions, economic data and changing market conditions.
Under the updated structure, the first 50,000 USDT of notional exposure qualifies for a 0.05% margin rate, equivalent to maximum leverage of 1:2000.
Higher margin rates apply as positions grow, with each rate calculated only on the portion of exposure within its respective tier.
This allows traders to access higher leverage on smaller positions while adjusting margin requirements for larger exposures.
Applicable leverage may also be temporarily reduced around major economic announcements.
“Forex traders plan their positions around interest rate decisions and economic data, and the margin tied up in one trade affects what else they can do,” said Gracy Chen, CEO of Bitget.
“By expanding leverage options and applying tiered margins, we’re giving traders more flexibility with their capital. That matters on a Universal Exchange where they can access gold, forex, indices and crypto.”
The update builds on Bitget’s existing dynamic leverage and tiered margin framework for CFD trading. Recent additions, including CFD sub-accounts, Open API access and a Demo Account, have expanded the tools available to traders.
Together, these developments strengthen Bitget’s traditional finance offering, allowing users to access forex, commodities, indices and crypto within its broader Universal Exchange ecosystem.
