Analyst Predicts Bitcoin Drop to $56K, Then 2027 All-Time High

Crypto analyst Bren believes Bitcoin could fall back to $56,000 before the market finds a true bottom, a level he repeatedly identifies as the bear-market low. In a post on X on November 4, he said his near-term outlook is bearish. Bitcoin failed to sustain its recovery after reaching $78,000, and an Ethereum wedge or channel pattern has made him cautious about adding risk.

Short-Term Caution

Bren described the current correction as late-stage. In a video accompanying his post, he said the price structure since September is more likely to produce a higher low than another prolonged downturn. Still, he sees $56,000 as the likely stopping point before buyers return. That sounds bearish—and it is—but only for the near term. He expects early next year to look much better, especially the first and second quarters. At some point, he says, Bitcoin will set a new record. His timeline: sometime in 2027.

The analyst also flagged $80,000 to $81,000 as an important zone. If Bitcoin climbs back above it, traders may feel more comfortable taking on altcoin exposure. Until then, he expects buying interest to remain low. This is not a call for panic, but it does suggest the market may need more time to reset.

Midterm Elections Add Noise

Bren’s view comes as US midterm elections reshape the political backdrop. He wrote on X that elections are always difficult and upsets are common. The consensus result, he added, often leaves people asking what just happened. Democrats have reclaimed both chambers of Congress, with projected results giving them 255 House seats and 53 Senate seats at the time of writing.

Past midterms have not given crypto a clear signal. After the 2014 vote, Bitcoin fell more than 45% within 71 days. After 2018, it dropped nearly 50% in 39 days. Trader Dealer.eth noted that those post-election lows became cycle bottoms, with Bitcoin gaining an average of 54% in the 12 months after the events. That does not guarantee a repeat, but it is a useful reference.

What Comes Next

At press time, Bitcoin traded near $78,000 after a roughly 2% gain in 24 hours. The bounce was small. Over seven days, the asset was down almost 4%. Over a month, it was off more than 9%. Compared with a year ago, it was more than 27% lower. For now, Bren’s forecast points to one more test before a stronger recovery. Whether $56,000 holds as the bottom remains an open question.
