TLDR:

Bitcoin recovered toward $78,000 after the Binance breach, with $78,800 and $79,800 marking resistance.

Michael Saylor hinted at another BTC purchase, but Strategy’s October 26 filing confirmed no new buying.

U.S. spot Bitcoin ETFs lost $643.2 million on October 30, ending four straight trading sessions of inflows.

Strategy held 848,517 BTC worth about $66 billion, with an average acquisition cost of $75,446 per coin.

Bitcoin approached $80,000 after recovering from a selloff tied to Binance’s reported $6.3 billion security breach. The rebound has sharpened BTC price analysis, while Michael Saylor signaled that Strategy may have room for another purchase. However, no new acquisition was confirmed.

The recovery followed a liquidity sweep beneath Friday’s low, according to analyst Michaël van de Poppe. His Bitcoin chart showed BTC rebounding from demand near $76,000 toward $78,000. His price analysis identified $78,800 as the first critical barrier.

The market faced a second threshold at $79,800. The price analysis remained conditional. Van de Poppe said a reclaim could accelerate the move, although consolidation might come first. Meanwhile, Michael Saylor’s buying hint offered a separate focus as traders weighed whether BTC could sustain the recovery.

BTC Faces $79,800 Resistance After $643.2M ETF Outflows

Bitcoin price analysis centered on immediate resistance just below $80,000. Van de Poppe identified $78,800 and $79,800 as levels needed to rebuild momentum. Failure to hold the rebound left a potential retest below $75,000 in his assessment.

#Bitcoin is in for tests at $80,000.

It has taken the low on Friday, in which liquidity was taken beneath that low during the correction of the Binance hack.

All right, that has happened, what’s next?

The uncertainty followed Binance’s October 29 disclosure of approximately $6.3 billion stolen from hot wallets. As a result, withdrawals were temporarily suspended while security measures were strengthened. The disruption also framed subsequent price analysis. Reports alleged that BTC and Ether withdrawals resumed on November 1, although the investigation remained open.

Market fund flows provided another measure of caution. Farside Investors recorded $643.2 million leaving U.S. spot Bitcoin ETFs on October 30. BlackRock’s IBIT accounted for $233.7 million, while Fidelity’s FBTC lost $201 million. The outflows ended four consecutive sessions of inflows. ETF outflows added another dimension to price analysis.

Strategy’s $66B Treasury Holdings Contrast With ETF Outflows

Michael Saylor posted that Strategy had found room for more orange, referring to purchase markers on StrategyTracker. The accompanying chart listed 119 buying events and 848,517 BTC, valued near $66 billion. However, Michael Saylor did not announce a transaction in the post.

Strategy’s October 26 filing confirmed no Bitcoin purchases during the preceding week. Its existing BTC holdings carried a $64.02 billion cost basis, averaging $75,446 per coin. Michael Saylor’s signal therefore contrasted with a documented pause in accumulation and $204.9 million spent repurchasing STRC preferred shares .

Glassnode’s earlier price analysis identified $80,000–$81,500 as a cost-basis area for ETFs and corporate treasuries. It also flagged selling and liquidation clusters at $85,000–$87,500. Bitcoin remained below the first band, leaving traders focused on $79,800 rather than an announced Michael Saylor purchase.
