The Samsung S90H wowed us with excellent image quality in both dark and bright rooms.

I’ve spent months reviewing the year’s latest TVs, and after all that testing, one 2026 model stands out from the pack: the Samsung S90H OLED. It doesn’t deliver the absolute best image quality on the market, but it balances features and value better than any other TV my team and I have tested. In fact, it may be one of the most versatile TVs ever made.
The S90H is already a great buy at its usual street price, but ahead of Black Friday it’s down to a record low on Amazon . All sizes, ranging from 42 to 83 inches, are on sale. The 65-inch model is a particularly enticing value. Over the last three months, it’s mostly fluctuated between $1,498 and $2,298. It then briefly dropped to $1,398 in mid-October before quickly jumping back up to $1,498. Right now, it’s back down to an all-time low of $1,398.
The S90H is a midrange OLED that delivers excellent performance in just about any room. In a dark home theater, you get deep black levels with pixel-perfect contrast. And in a bright room, the TV’s glare-free screen coating keeps reflections in check. This best-of-both-worlds design helps the S90H clinch the top spot in my guide to the best TVs .

Why I love the Samsung S90H TV
The S90H’s glare-free screen coating significantly reduces reflections.

Of all the TVs my team and I have tested this year, the S90H delivers the strongest combination of picture performance and value. Cheaper LED sets can look like a hazy mess when watching dim scenes with the lights off, but the S90H’s OLED screen produces inky black levels that disappear into a dark room. It also gets remarkably close to matching the quality of pricier premium models.
While testing the 65-inch size, I measured a peak brightness of roughly 1,440 nits. That’s enough to produce an impressive HDR image in dedicated home theaters and typical living rooms alike. The 48- and 77-inch versions actually use an even brighter panel, so they should get closer to 2,000 nits.
The S90H gets Samsung’s anti-glare display treatment. This feature was once reserved for more expensive models, and it’s not available on competing OLEDs from other brands. In our reviewer’s living room, it dramatically cut down on light bouncing off a kitchen bar and softened ceiling-light reflections into a faint red hue. The anti-glare coating does slightly lower contrast in rooms with lots of light, but that’s an easy compromise for anyone frustrated by distracting reflections.
The picture remains strong at wide viewing angles , so viewers off to the side won’t get a washed-out image. There can be a slight greenish shift at certain angles on some panels, which is typical of OLED technology, but it’s much less bothersome than the faded look common on standard LED TVs.
The S90H offers punchy contrast with vibrant HDR highlights, even when viewed at an angle.

It’s a great fit for gaming, too , with up to 4K/165Hz support when paired with a PC for fluid action in demanding games. You can also use cloud-gaming services, such as Xbox Game Pass.
Setting up the stand is refreshingly easy: click the feet into place, snap on the pedestal cover, and you’re done — no tools needed. The stand does feel a bit plasticky compared to the metal pedestals used on some rivals, but what you lose in heft you gain in simplicity.
Samsung’s SolarCell remote skips disposable batteries altogether. Its rear solar panel can recharge using daylight or indoor lighting, and every SolarCell remote I’ve tested has kept going without running out of juice. USB-C charging is available, too, just in case.
The 65-inch S90H currently costs less than last year’s S90F. The 2025 S90F is still a capable set, and a few sizes can deliver a modest color advantage. But stock is becoming harder to find, and it lacks the S90H’s glare-resistant screen. At these sale prices, the newer model is the better buy.
