Frustration is growing among parts of the XRP community, with one investor accusing Ripple of prioritizing its dollar-pegged RLUSD stablecoin ambitions and leaving longtime XRP holders behind. In an emotional appeal, the investor called on the company’s leadership to recognize the community’s years of loyalty and take action to help unlock XRP’s long-anticipated $20 valuation. The message has reignited debate over whether Ripple’s expanding business strategy will ultimately translate into meaningful gains for XRP holders.
A Decade of Loyalty, but Where Is the XRP Holders’ Reward?
In a November 1 post on X directed at Ripple CEO Brad Garlinghouse and Ripple CTO Emeritus David Schwartz, XRP investor Fabrizio Scudu criticized the company for allegedly prioritizing its Ripple USD (RLUSD) stablecoin and its broader corporate expansion at the expense of XRP holders. Specifically, he accused Ripple of redirecting XRP’s economic and technological potential toward the stablecoin and other enterprise initiatives, arguing that the company was securing its own future while leaving longtime investors behind.
Scudu said the community had stood by Ripple through nearly a decade of negative sentiment, financial uncertainty, and its prolonged legal wrangle. In his view, investors did more than simply purchase a cryptocurrency; they supported the company through a difficult period, with some committing personal savings and staying loyal to the XRP ecosystem.
To Brad Garlinghouse and David Schwartz: A message for your souls by the fireside. When you sit by the fireside of your homes in the evening, enveloped in the peace and warmth of your families, I look upon you and ask you to look into your souls. That sense of peace, that right to…

“History is Watching You”
Scudu accused Ripple’s leadership of securing the company’s future while leaving longtime XRP holders uncertain about their own financial prospects. He urged the executives to acknowledge the community’s loyalty and sacrifices, arguing that investors deserve to benefit from the ecosystem they helped support through years of challenges.
He also called on Ripple to take meaningful action to help XRP reach what he considers its fair market value of $15 to $20 or higher. In his closing appeal, Scudu framed the issue as one of loyalty and accountability, warning that the community’s contributions should not be forgotten as Ripple continues to expand its business operations. “History is watching you, and so is God,” he concluded.
Ripple CEO Rejects Claims RLUSD Is Replacing XRP
Meanwhile, as criticism over Ripple’s growing RLUSD business continues to surface, CEO Garlinghouse has pushed back against suggestions that the stablecoin is taking priority over XRP. He recently emphasized during the Swell 2026 conference in New York that Ripple remains committed to its native ecosystem token, declaring, “We will never give up on XRP.”
Garlinghouse also described XRP and RLUSD as “very complementary,” arguing that the two assets serve different but interconnected purposes within Ripple’s broader payments strategy. While RLUSD offers the price stability needed for payments and financial transactions, XRP can provide liquidity and facilitate value transfers across the XRP Ledger.
Garlinghouse further reassured the XRP community that Ripple’s business decisions would not come at the expense of XRP. He stressed that the company “will never do something we think is bad for the XRP ecosystem,” reinforcing his position that RLUSD’s growth is not intended to undermine XRP.
Ultimately, the debate goes beyond Ripple’s growing business footprint. What matters to XRP holders like Scudu is whether that expansion will create meaningful demand for the token itself. More partnerships, payment channels, and RLUSD adoption may strengthen Ripple’s ecosystem, but none of these developments guarantees that XRP will capture enough value to reach the investor’s $20 ambition.
