SpaceX (NASDAQ: SPCX ) stock can potentially rise to $155 by December 31, 2026, according to a prediction by artificial intelligence ( AI ) model ChatGPT.

The model expects the aerospace giant to recover some of its recent losses, with its target representing a potential 15.4% increase from Friday’s closing price of $134.

SpaceX stock volatility

Notably, SpaceX shares rebounded 8.62% during Friday’s session, recovering from a 9.05% decline on November 5 that sent them to $123.62, their lowest closing price since early August.

The recent volatility followed Democratic victories in Texas midterm races, raising concerns about potential regulatory obstacles to Elon Musk’s business expansion, particularly SpaceX’s proposed AI data centres and Terafab semiconductor project.

Broader weakness in AI stocks also contributed to the sell-off, although Friday’s rebound coincided with a recovery across the technology sector.

At the same time, SpaceX shares face several important technical levels. Its $135 IPO price represents an immediate psychological reference point, while $145 and $154 are potential resistance levels.

On the downside, investors will watch Thursday’s intraday low of $120.39, followed by the 52-week low of $104.83. A sustained move above $154 could strengthen the recovery, while a break below $120 could expose shares to further declines.

SPCX share price prediction

Now, ChatGPT’s forecast includes a bullish scenario of $190 to $210, a base case of $150 to $165, and a bearish outcome of $105 to $120.

The scenarios carry respective probabilities of 25%, 50% and 25%, making $155 the model’s preferred year-end target.

Several developments support the prediction, particularly Starlink’s growth, AI investments and Starship’s progress.

In this line, Starlink remains a key growth driver, with third-quarter Connectivity revenue rising 69.5% year over year to $5.25 billion, while operating income increased to $2.37 billion from $1.19 billion.

AI is another potential catalyst, with the company on October 26, SpaceX announcing an approximately $40 billion financing lease with an Apollo Global Management-managed entity to fund   Nvidia (NASDAQ: NVDA ) Vera Rubin chips and related computing infrastructure. Its expanding AI ecosystem, including Grok, X, and Cursor, could diversify revenue beyond aerospace and connectivity.

Meanwhile, Starship’s September 28 test flight reached orbit and deployed 26 Starlink V3 satellites, advancing efforts to develop a reusable launch system that could reduce deployment costs and support commercial and lunar missions.

SpaceX is also expanding into terrestrial telecommunications. On November 4, Qualcomm (NASDAQ: QCOM )announced a multiyear agreement to supply equipment and technology for its planned 5G network, with deployment expected to begin in 2027 across tens of thousands of U.S. cell sites.

SpaceX stock risks

Despite these growth opportunities, ChatGPT identified several risks to its $155 year-end target, including substantial capital expenditure on AI infrastructure, Starship and satellite networks, as well as regulatory hurdles involving spectrum, launch licensing and data-centre development.

Another uncertainty is a potential combination with Tesla (NASDAQ: TSLA ). Both companies have established special committees to evaluate a transaction, although no deal has been confirmed.

Such a combination could create growth opportunities but also introduce valuation, governance, and shareholder dilution concerns.

Finally, SpaceX’s elevated valuation leaves limited room for disappointment if revenue growth or profitability falls short of investor expectations.
