Quick Take

Ripple won final U.S. approval for a federal bank charter, yet the XRP price has barely reacted.

XRP trades under both its key moving averages, and momentum still favors sellers.

Clearing nearby resistance would give buyers their first real opening in weeks.

Ripple cleared its last federal hurdle this week to open a trust bank. The win came as spot XRP funds drew little fresh money and the token kept sliding.

A banking charter builds the long-term case. Fearful markets set the short-term price. Traders want to know whether buyers can halt the slow bleed before the summer low comes back into play.

A Federal Bank Charter Lands While ETF Money Drifts Away

Ripple received final U.S. approval on Oct 27 to set up a national trust bank. The charter lets the company hold client assets under federal oversight.

The longer-term case for XRP runs through RLUSD, Ripple’s stablecoin. More RLUSD activity on the XRP Ledger could mean more demand for the network over time. So far, traders have not priced any of that in.

Spot XRP ETFs, by contrast, had a soft October. The funds added only $14.77M across the month. Their best single day came on Oct 29, with inflows of $8.43M.

Net assets fell to $1.42B by month-end, down from $1.70B on Oct 6. Falling prices did most of that damage.

Broader mood matters more than Ripple news right now. The crypto fear and greed index sits at 40, firmly in fear.

XRP Trades Under Both Averages Near the Bottom of Its Range

XRP traded near $1.25 on Sunday, flat over the past 24 hours. The token has lost about 4% over the week and roughly 16% over the past month. The decline has been slow and steady.

The moving averages tell the same story. A moving average smooths out daily swings to show the underlying trend. XRP sits below its 50-day average near $1.34. It also trades under its 200-day average, around $1.37.

When price holds beneath both lines, traders call it a bearish stack. Each line now acts as a ceiling that buyers must break through before any recovery can take hold.

XRP peaked near $1.57 on Sep 22, its best level in three months. Since then, sellers have pushed the price steadily lower, giving back most of that climb.

That leaves XRP in the lower half of its recent range. The token is much closer to its summer floor than to the autumn high. Buyers have stepped in at times, yet none of those bounces has lasted.

A flat day after weeks of selling often signals a pause while traders wait for a reason to act.

Sellers Still Hold the Momentum Edge

RSI, a 0 to 100 gauge of momentum, reads 38 on the daily chart. That is weak, but it sits above the oversold zone below 30. In plain terms, sellers still have room to push before the market looks stretched enough to force a rebound.

The MACD, a tool that tracks shifts in momentum, stays below its signal line. That means the downward push has not faded yet. Buyers have no clear sign of a turn to lean on.

Trend strength readings show no strong trend in either direction. That fits the slow slide seen over recent weeks. XRP is grinding lower without the heavy, panicked selling that often marks a bottom.

$1.31 Stands Between XRP and a Run at $1.40

Overhead, the first hurdle sits close. Resistance comes in near $1.31, only a short climb from where XRP trades now. A close above it would put the price back near both moving averages.

Clearing that band would bring $1.40 into view. That level sits about 12% above the current price. Reaching it would mean reclaiming both averages along the way, a signal that buyers had taken back control.

Below, the picture looks thinner. Support does not appear until $0.99, the 90-day low set on Aug 16. The chart shows little structure between here and there, so a slide could move fast once it starts.

A break of that floor would push XRP under $1 for the first time in months. It would also erase the summer low that buyers defended.

Which Way the Next Three Days Could Break

Over the next three days, XRP has two clear paths.

Bullish: A close above the first resistance band would open a push toward the higher target. Buyers would then face both moving averages on the way up. The setup fails if price slips back under Sunday’s trading level, which would show the breakout lacked follow-through.

Bearish: A rejection at that nearby resistance, followed by a drop below Sunday’s level, leaves the road open to the August low. A close above the 50-day average would cancel this view.

The Charter Waits for the Chart

Until XRP reclaims that first resistance band, the bias stays bearish. The trust bank charter is a slow-burning story. It could feed demand through RLUSD over years, yet it offers no near-term catalyst for the price.

The bigger risk sits outside Ripple. Sentiment is stuck in fear, and support below is thin. A broad crypto selloff could hit XRP hard.
