A good office dress is essential for when I don’t feel like assembling a full outfit before going to work. My favorite one I’ve worn this season is the M.M. LaFleur Taka Wrap Dress, which is now a whopping $304 off. Its original price of $429 is marked down to $125 .

The dress has thoughtful design details like sleeve tabs and an elastic casing at the small of the back, giving it a snug and flexible fit.

The design is customizable. Unlike shirt dresses with cuffs that I constantly have to push back up, this one has tabs that make it easy to take the sleeves from full-length to three-quarter length. The wrap skirt is adjustable too — I can tighten the waist tie for a more cinched look, or loosen it when I’m seated and need room to breathe.
It comes in sizes 00 to 20. While it’s available in an inclusive size range, its skirt length may overwhelm petite frames. I’m 5-foot-9 and the skirt hem reaches below my knees. It helps when I balance the asymmetrical proportions with heeled knee-high boots.
It’s low maintenance, which is convenient for business travel. Even though the “Everyday Crepe” fabric is weighty enough for fall weather, it’s decently (but not totally) wrinkle-resistant. I was able to fold the Taka Wrap Dress compactly in my suitcase and could easily wear it without needing to steam first. It’s also machine washable.
The bottom line
The Taka Work Dress is worth buying now while it’s over $300 off, though because it’s part of M.M.LaFleur’s sale section , it can only be returned for store credit. It’s a timeless design and since mine has has held up beautifully through the wash, it’s a worthy investment towards feeling sophisticated (and comfortable) at work.
