TL;DR
Polygon added Solana support to Open Money Stack, allowing businesses to manage stablecoin payments.
The platform integrates virtual accounts, programmable wallets, and transfers across Solana, Polygon, TRON, and EVM-compatible networks.
The service supports USDC, USDT, PYUSD, SOL, and wSOL, along with fiat-to-crypto conversions through a single infrastructure.
Polygon expanded its Open Money Stack (OMS) platform to support Solana , enabling businesses to process end-to-end stablecoin payments , from receiving bank deposits to converting, transferring, and withdrawing funds in traditional currencies.
The integration allows applications built on Solana to use virtual accounts, embedded wallets, and cross-chain transfer services without leaving their primary blockchain.
According to Polygon, Solana processes more than $2 trillion in stablecoin volume per quarter . The company aims to provide businesses with the infrastructure needed to manage those funds and connect them to traditional financial systems.
Polygon Integrates Bank Payments and Cross-Chain Transfers
Open Money Stack supports deposits through bank transfers, cards, cash, and cryptocurrencies . Funds can be converted into stablecoins on Solana and held in programmable accounts before being sent to other users or withdrawn.
According to the company, its fiat on- and off-ramp infrastructure is backed by money transmitter licenses across 48 U.S. states .
Each customer can have a dedicated virtual account to receive bank transfers. The system automatically identifies the recipient and credits the funds to the corresponding balance.
Polygon also added support for Solana embedded wallets through the same API used for EVM networks . Businesses can create accounts and establish rules governing when and where assets are transferred.
The platform supports USDC , USDT, PYUSD, SOL, and wrapped SOL (wSOL) , with transfers across Solana, TRON, and EVM networks handled in a single transaction.
For example, an application can receive USDC from Ethereum and deliver SOL to a Solana user without requiring them to manage a cross-chain bridge manually.
Solana Can Use Open Money Stack for International Payments
The integration is designed for fintech companies, payment applications, marketplaces, and platforms operating on Solana that need to connect their services to bank accounts and other blockchains.
An application can accept a dollar-denominated card payment, convert it into stablecoins, and send the funds to another country. The recipient can hold the digital assets or withdraw them through a bank account, a card, or a cash pickup location .
Marketplaces can also use this infrastructure to pay sellers in different currencies or across different networks, depending on each recipient’s needs.
Polygon clarified that businesses are not required to use every component of OMS . They can integrate only the services they need while retaining their existing custody, compliance, or settlement providers.
The company plans to continue adding support for other blockchains to Open Money Stack, allowing applications to manage payments across multiple networks through a single infrastructure.
